With five years of experience working in rental offices characterized by narrow, inflexible spaces, MA Architects sought to create an office space that fosters collaboration, productivity, and connection with nature.

Sustainable Features

With a plot size of 5x20m, MA Architects utilized resources such as bare ground and yards to reduce heat absorption and create a comfortable working environment. Old wood was repurposed to construct the framework, beams, trusses, and columns, incorporating natural materials into the design. The exterior features brick walls and eco-tin roofing sheets, providing durability and weather resistance.

Construction Process

The construction process involved meticulous planning to optimize material usage, space utilization, and construction time while adhering to a limited budget. Wooden beams, columns, and structural frameworks were erected, followed by the installation of furniture to complete the office space. The materials used were chosen for their natural colors and textures, contributing to the project’s aesthetic appeal.

Sustainable Materials

Old woods were used for furniture after surface treatment, and the surrounding walls were constructed with a waterproof layer to protect the office from rain and sun damage. The flooring comprises compacted sand and small stones, offering natural color and absorption properties to mitigate heat during hot weather. The roof features eco tin and lightweight roofing sheets, topped with dried coconut leaves for insulation and noise reduction.
