Located in Corinthos, Greece, the Isla Brown Corinthia Hotel, designed by Elastic Architects, represents a total redesign of the iconic mid-70s “Hanikian” hotel. Situated on the Corinthian Gulf, the hotel’s new architectural identity is inspired by the region’s topography, embracing organic forms that harmonize with the natural landscape.

Embracing Natural Elements

The design concept draws inspiration from the nearby Greek Volcanic Arc, particularly the silent Sousaki volcano. Emulating the fluidity of lava, the building’s square volumes are transformed into a stack of white “pebbles,” while curved surfaces on the facades evoke a sense of movement, reminiscent of volcanic eruptions.

Luxurious Accommodations and Amenities

The Isla Brown Corinthia Hotel offers 166 luxury rooms and suites, each equipped with indoor dining areas, two bathrooms, and freestanding bathtubs. Common spaces include a lobby, an indoor sea view bar, an all-day dining restaurant, gym, spa, and a stunning rooftop pool with panoramic views of the Corinthian Gulf. The interior design features consecutive curved surfaces, volcanic color palettes, and bespoke furniture inspired by natural elements, creating a unique and luxurious ambiance.
