Aalloa Hills Residence stands as a bright white bridge over the Sabarmati Riverside terrains, offering unparalleled views of the river and forest. Situated on a natural plateau, the residence respects the organic flow of the landscape, seamlessly integrating with the native environment while blurring the boundaries between indoors and outdoors.

Architectural Design

The residence features a simple yet elegantly composed form, interconnected by a thread-like access ramp that meanders linearly across the valley. This carefully curated spatial journey unveils panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, with deep, shady verandahs offering resplendent vistas.

Sustainable Features

Geometric precision and axis planning facilitate a seamless flow of spaces, light, water, and vegetation, while energy-efficient sun breakers and orientation optimize natural terrains and the hot semi-arid climate. Design interventions such as double-glazed windows and painted cavity masonry ensure comfortable indoor spaces without the need for air conditioning for the majority of the year.

The residence preserves existing vegetation on the site and adds over 400 new trees and shrubs, creating a habitat for various birds and wildlife.
