Archiplanstudio embarked on a remarkable project involving the refurbishment of an old barn located in Guastalla, Italy. Led by architects Diego Cisi, Stefano Gorni Silvestrini, Jacopo Rettondini, Oreste Sanese, Francesca Brescia, and Alfonsina Benetti, the endeavor aimed to breathe new life into the existing structure while preserving its rustic charm and historical significance.

Ground Floor Revitalization

On the ground floor, the architectural vision unfolds with the creation of a spacious void, meticulously designed to harmonize with the furnishing elements that delineate the essential living spaces. Here, the architects artfully blend functionality with aesthetics, establishing a seamless flow that fosters a sense of ritual and intimacy within the home.

Ascending to Elegance

Ascending to the upper level, occupants are greeted by a striking feature—a large wardrobe that serves both as a functional storage solution and a symbolic threshold to the private quarters of the house. Throughout Casa ID, a distinctive design philosophy emerges, where the architectural elements seamlessly blend with the original features of the barn.
